Covers claims of property damage or injury to others from your work — the coverage most GCs, property managers, and customers ask to see.
Covers your crew for on-the-job injuries. Many GCs require it before you set foot on site, even though Texas doesn't require most private employers to carry it.
For work trucks and vans titled to the business or used for jobs. Ask about hired and non-owned auto, too.
Covers your tools and equipment against theft or damage on the job, in the truck, or at the shop.
Renewing with TDLR? We'll get the right certificate of insurance to you so the paperwork isn't what holds you up.
Coverage is subject to underwriting, eligibility, and policy terms. Not every trade or class of work qualifies. We'll tell you up front what we can and can't write.
Texas requires licensed electrical contractors to carry general liability insurance and to file a certificate of insurance with TDLR when they apply and renew. The business name on the certificate has to match the name on your license application.
A/C, plumbing, and other licensed trades: requirements vary by license. Tell us what you hold and we'll help you check what your board asks for.
Minimums shown are TDLR's current listed amounts for electrical contractors (16 TAC §73.40). Rules can change — confirm with TDLR before you renew.
Two minutes on the form or one phone call: your trade, crew size, and what coverage you need.
We look at your options and walk you through them in plain English or Spanish — what's covered, what's not, and what it costs.
Once you're bound, we send your certificates where they need to go: GCs, job sites, or TDLR.
